With Lakeland, TN to the west and Fayette County to the east, the town of Arlington, TN is home to 14,549 people as of the 2020 Census. Its history goes back to the 1830’s, with its original name as Haysville. It was renamed to Arlington in 1883, thanks to a man named Captain Henry Pitman. Arlington remained a quaint, small town until 2010, when the Census named it the second fastest growing town in the state!

Arlington makes sure to stay true to its roots, though. It has its own chapter of the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities (APTA) which maintains five historic sites in town.
