The city of Bartlett, TN is located in Shelby County, and is north and east of the city of Memphis. With a population of 57,786 as of the 2020 Census, Bartlett was founded in 1866 with a population of a mere 100 people. Originally called Union Depot, Bartlett was incorporated and named after Major Gabriel M. Bartlett, a planter, whose home was located where Bartlett Station Plaza is today.

Today, Bartlett offers its residents amenities such as a historic district, historical society, performing arts center, library, parks & recreation department, and farmers’ market.
